Cookies and local storage
This page lists everything NorskAI stores on your device: cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage. The rules in the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act § 3-15 are technology-neutral, so they apply to local storage just as much as to cookies — which is why everything is listed here.
1. How consent works here
We split storage in two. Necessary storage is what the service cannot function without, and it does not require consent. Statistics is optional, and it is not loaded at all until you have actively said yes.
If you choose “Necessary only”, Google Analytics is never contacted. The script is not downloaded and no statistics cookies are set. This is not a setting switched off afterwards — it simply is not loaded.
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, we also delete the statistics cookies that have already been set.

3. Statistics — only with consent

The IP address is anonymised before storage, and we do not use Analytics for advertising or profiling. Google is its own controller for its part of the processing — see Google's privacy policy.
NorskAI shows no advertising, and we use neither Google AdSense, web beacons nor any other ad tracking. If you read otherwise in an earlier version of the privacy policy, that was out of date.
4. Necessary local storage (localStorage)
This is stored in your browser and is not sent to us. It is mainly your own work and your own settings. All of it can be removed by clearing the site's data in your browser.

5. Temporary storage (sessionStorage)
This is deleted automatically when you close the tab. It is used to carry content between two pages so you do not have to type it again.

6. How to delete everything yourself
In every common browser this sits under privacy settings, as “Clear browsing data”, “Cookies and site data” or similar. Select www.norskai.com and delete. That removes both the cookies and all local storage.
Note that you also lose drafts, progress and the access marker on this device. Full access itself is not lost — you simply enter the password again.
